Cothrom Guest-book

Welcome to the (new) home page of Cothrom , an organisation whose aim is to promote the search for a peaceful political settlement in Northern Ireland which will be equally fair and equally just to Both of the two main communities.On this page I am trying to do two , possibly three things:-

1)to promote the search for a settlement that is equally fair and equally just to BOTH of the main communities in N.Ireland;

2)to provide links to the sites of the various parties involved in the conflict so that those who wish to do so may inform themselves of the various views of the parties;

3)to highlight whatever indications there are that people are willing to search for an agreement that does acknowledge the rights and freedoms of people in BOTH of the main communities.

The previous page had grown too large and unwieldy so I have split it up into several smaller pages which I hope people will find less confusing.

If you just want to get an overall view of what Cothrom is all about then click on What is Cothrom.

For a more comprehensive view see Other Cothrom Documents(Note:- You can also access these documents and the "What is Cothrom" document at the bottom of this page.)

What's New (Last up-dated 19 March 1998)

I have also provided links to all the main
Political parties/other political organisations in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Britain where people can try to work out what their beliefs presently are to all the main issues.

News/Media: For anyone wishing to know what is currently happening
as regards local events and up-to date news there are links to
Newspapers and other sources of information.

The official positions of the various parties: This page contains many links to documents stating the official positions of the various parties.Readers can make their own minds up whether various parties are being unreasonable in refusing to acknowledge properly the rights and freedoms of both traditions.

Peace Groups : There are a lot of small organisations campaigning for peace and if you follow the links on this page you can find out what they are doing and even sign some of their petitions.

Other links
: Also included are other links to groups with relevance to Northern Ireland.
Eventually I hope to include links to groups not involved in politics (as I find them )to show that the majority of people are involved in everyday things.

Protests and Petitions:
This is a new section where I will provide links ,on request, to sites hosting a petition or other peaceful protest.

Odds And Ends:
Finally there is a page of odds and ends for sites that do not
fit into any of the other pages.

(Wild) Afterthought: I thought of putting together a page of
links to sites in N.Ireland that deal with subjects other than politics, just to show that most of the people there are as normally
weird as people anywhere.

This page will continue to develop so keep checking back.(i.e. book-mark this page). (flashing lights and all the fancy stuff to come later.) If you feel there are any other links that should be included here let me know about them.
